Narnian Creatures and Places


PLACES

1. Eastern Ocean
the main body of water to the east of the Kingdom of Narnia from its peninsula, later the island capital, of Cair Paravel.

2. Archenland
a mountainous country situated south of the Kingdom of Narnia and north of the Calormene Empire.

3. Ettinsmoor
The long, lonely land north of the River Shribble. It is mainly populated by giants.

4. Calormen
A great empire of many provinces, lush vistas, vast trading networks, and magnificent palaces. Their society is strict, hierarchical, elegant.

5. Cair Paravel
The royal castle of Narnia. It was the location of the four thrones of High King Peter, Queen Susan, King Edmund, and Queen Lucy.

6. Charn
The World of Charn is the general name given for a world separate from Earth and Narnia. That world was destroyed by Jadis, the last Empress of Charn, who later ruled Narnia as the White Witch.

7. Beruna
a red roofed town near the Fords of Beruna within the Kingdom of Narnia, which bears its name, and became the site of two famous battles.

8. Beaver's Dam
A community named for the dam in the area built by Mr. Beaver who, along with Mrs. Beaver, helped to escort the four Pevensie children to the Stone Table to meet Aslan.

9. Tashbaan
The capital city of Calormen, a great empire south of the land of Narnia.

10. Aslan’s How
a hilly mound of earth that covered what had once been the Stone Table to the south of the town ofBeruna in the Kingdom of Narnia, built during the Dark Age. 

11. Lone Islands
The Lone Islands are Doorn, Avra, and Felimath. the most populous and busiest of the islands in the Eastern Ocean. 

12. Terebinthia
One of twelve islands in the Eastern Ocean and the second closest island to the mainland (the first being Galma). Its name means “land of the turpentine-trees”.

13. Aslan’s Country
There is a way into the land of the Great Lion from every world; from Narnia it is found beyond the eastern end of the world.

14. Lantern Waste
Jadis threw a piece of a London lamppost at Aslan's head. When it fell to the ground, it grew into a new lamppost Centuries later Lucy Pevensie met Mr Tumnus near the Lamppost.

15. Wardrobe
In reality it is the apple-wood wardrobe of Professor Digory Kirke, containing the portal to Narnia for the Pevensie children.


CREATURES


1. Centaur
The centaurs of Narnia are noble beings and are one of the most loyal creatures to Aslan and to Narnia. They have the head, torso, and arms of a human but have the lower body of a horse joining at the human's waist.

2. Dufflepud / Monopod
a variety of one-legged dwarf. They occasionally use their foot as a boat and row themselves around with paddles.

3. Dwarf
Dwarfs or “The Sons of Earth” exist in Narnia in two separate varieties: Black Dwarfs and Red Dwarfs.

4. Earthmen/Gnome
the gnome-like natives of Bism, a land which lies far beneath the surface of the Narnian earth. 

5. Faun
Fauns, or the son of woods, are woodland creatures with the legs of a goat and the upper body of a human.

6. Satyr
woodland folk who are part human and part goat. They are similar to fauns, except that they are wilder and have reddish fur, longer horns, and more goat-like characteristics.

7. Giant
Giants are tall, ugly, and often dim-witted creatures. There is a clear distinction between the giants of Narnia itself and those living outside it, mainly to its north.

8. Gryphon
winged creatures that are brown in appearance. They have head and wings of an eagle (with curved beaks) and the body of a lion.

9. Marsh-wiggle
A race of frog-like humanoids that inhabit the marshes of northern Narnia, south of the River Shribble. They are described as having large ears and green-grey dreadlocks. 

10. Minotaur
Minotaurs have the head of a bull and the body of a man. In the movies, they are more bull-like with bull legs, tails and body fur.

11. Nymph
nature spirits that live in the trees and waters. They are capable of leaving their tree or watery domains and assuming a physical body resembling human form.

12. Star
Narnian Stars resemble ”glittering people, all with long hair like burning silver and spears like white-hot metal.”

13. Unicorn
noble white horse-like creatures with a single blue horn on their foreheads. They use their horns in battle, and may be ridden when necessary.

14. Winged Horse
They were born from a normal horse in The Magician's Nephew, although Aslan said he was the father of all winged horses, only one appears or is mentioned in the books.

15. Witch
Witches were beings that typically wielded dark magic, usually to be able to possess authority over others and carry out selfish, greedy actions.
